Bourbon
American Whiskey. Bourbon is distilled in a Coffey continuous-still. Bourbon
must contain a minimum of 51% corn with the balance being made up of both rye
and barley. In practice the percentage of corn is much higher. Bourbon is matured
in new charred white-oak barrels for a period of not less than a year.
