Vodka

Vodka or wodka (meaning little water) can be made from any number of grains (corn, wheat, rye, etc) or even the much loved potato. Vodka is produced using a double pot-still distillation after which the spirit is subject to a charcoal filtration process. This is intended to remove all flavour, resulting in a smooth, pure grain spirit (potato vodkas are rarely made now). See also Zubrowka, Gold Vodka, Pepper Vodka and Flavoured Vodkas
